After 6 years of using this site on and off, I thought it was finally time to update my bio!

I successfully lost weight and gradually put it back on a few times over those years, but I feel like I finally 'cracked it' in 2015. I lost about 30lbs, mainly though doing the keto diet for about 6 months, and have more or less kept it off ever since. I started improving my fitness by doing a 5 mile walk every evening and got a fitbit. In 2016 I finally managed to complete the couch to 5 k (something I had been tried to do a few times before). It took so much effort to build up to being able to run 5k in an ok time that I never wanted to lose that level of fitness again, so I've run a 5k, either outside or on the treadmill, a couple of times most weeks ever since. I started a bootcamp in 2017, which is 3 mornings a week, and is a mix of cardio and weights (which I am terrible at).

However, I just love food too much! And alcohol. I often put weight back on then have to battle to get it off again. Recently my 'heaviest weights' (after I've been indulgent for a few weeks) are getting higher and higher, and my 'lowest weights', (that I manage to battle back down to) aren't nearly as low. I've gone up a clothes size, and I don't feel good about it. So time to get stricter again! For now I am concentrating on calorie counting and also trying not to skip too much exercise. I'm also giving up booze for a month :-(

Ps I'm 30, married with no kids, live in a small town in Ireland and have an office job.
