I can’t figure out how to add lifting weights to my exercise. Like it doesn’t pop up. This girl may have gotten a towel around her and saw my figure but my upper arms are just sad. I didn’t lift anything heavy just used my pro form 5 pound weights each arm at work ( brought them there and forgot about them till yesterday) I did a bunch of reps between patients.

It is under weight training for me. I always put moderate even though it's heavy lifting for me because I assume the calories listed for "heavy" are for Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I’m not saying don’t do it, but I’m am saying rely on the calories in those you can count close to perfection

Good to know Rosie. Some of it does seem off. I can’t change my rest during the day either 🤦🏻‍♀️ it says I’m resting over 16 hours a day😂

Just letting you know, I don’t want you to struggle when the math seem’s to add up but in reality it does not

@jcmama777, the program will automatically enter RESTING for anything that isn't SLEEPING. You have to enter such things as Driving, Grocery Shopping, Cooking, Watching TV/Computer, Desk Work, etc., to account for all of the other hours in a day. Also, make sure to enter your CORRECT number of hours of sleep, or it will naturally default to 8 hours.

Thanks Debbie.

It's true it isn't going to be accurate- but I love using it because I can still compare month to month and also- I try to underestimate. I rarely sleep 8 hours and I don't log every little step. If I feel I walked 3.5 mph- I'll still put 2 mph sometimes. I've seen people will put bathing or showering and all kinds of stuff. I'd rather not put every little thing so that if it has me resting and sleeping then I know it is a little more than that. If I did housework for an hour- I'll cut it in half- just to not overestimate. I underestimate the activity and overestimate the calories just to be sure. LOL ;)

See that’s how I feel lol who has time to log everything. My big question is how the heck are we burning that many calories resting 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ It seems too much

Food yes but saying everything to bring that resting period down makes my head spin lol

jcmama- Once you enter the activity- it kinda saves it for you. I rarely have to enter a new exercise because I have so many on there from yard work to whatever so I just put a check next to all that apply, adjust the time as needed and save it. Is that even what you meant? LOL

Got ya. On my iPhone it doesn’t let me hit the resting part to adjust the hours but I guess the more you add to exercise the resting goes down. Makes total sense. But im still curious if our bodies will really burn that many calories resting. I know we naturally burn but man.

When resting, our bodies are still very busy -- our heart is pumping, brain is thinking, our temperature has to stay regulated, digestive processes are going on, cells are regenerating, hair is growing. Our autonomic systems do a LOT of behind-the-scenes work, and the more you weigh, the more calories you burn just resting. I use the stopwatch on my phone to time activities like washing dishes, folding clothes, vacuuming, driving, grocery shopping, gardening, cooking, etc. It's pretty inspiring to see how many REAL calories you are burning during a day by recording EVERYTHING you do. And, yes, for every other thing you enter, the Resting number goes down!

Thanks Debbie 😊 our bodies are amazing!! I knew all that but just in awe of the actual amount our bodies burn “ at rest “ it definitely seemed excessive but hey, whose going to complain about burning that many calories at rest 😊 thanks for clarifying it.
