Alright, I went. I'll end the suspense. Who knows how much I lost from it, because I didn't weigh myself this morning. I feel like time drags when you're not losing.
Yesterday (my last weigh in) I was around 139-ish, so that means that I'm pretty much maintained from last week. Why am I complaining then? I'm still lower than I was, and I know I'm not done. I know this is a lifetime commitment ("I, Allison, take you, Weight Loss, to be my lawfully wedded 'diet.")
Happier things, vacation in exactly 3 weeks. Three weeks. 21 days. I'd *like* to get to be under 135 by the time I go. I'm not going to put pressure on myself though. I refuse, if it happens, it will. I'm trying to imagine myself lying on white sandy beaches in my bikini getting tan. I'm trying so hard.
Parties tonight and tomorrow, which means food! Tonight, though, is a roller skating party for my friend's 32nd birthday. Her husband is the manager of a rink, so it's going to be really fun, and not to mention, exercise. There isn't going to be food there, because well it's a roller skating rink and it's not a "sanctioned" party, where she'll get to spin the tickets wheel and go into the DJ booth, well maybe go into the DJ booth. We're going to be there for 3 hours give or take, and I plan on roller skating for at least 90 minutes, not straight, but during the time there I'm planning on spending half my time skating around.
Tomorrow is a different story completely. It's a barbeque, and my friend isn't exactly, "health conscious," there are going to be a ton of snacks I feel, and I don't know if I'll be able to hold out. But it's also a pool party, so an hour or two of treading water and making whirlpools might also help me keep my intake low and exercise up.
To top off my insane weekend, in between these two parties, we have a cake! A Super Mario Cake, if I remember I'll post a picture. That's it. It's chocolate, so I won't be tempted. Chocolate cake with chocolate and banana center. I will be staying far far away.
On that note, hope everyone has an awesome Holiday weekend! And remember it's not just about beaches and barbeques, it's about gaining independance. Think about what in your life you'd like to gain independance from and try to make that a goal or mission over the next year. Think about those who fought and match the efforts. Anything worth having is worth fighting for.

You don't like chocolate cake? Lucky girl. Can you bring any food to your friend's BBQ? Like a bean salad or a fresh cole slaw? It's hard to stay away from the junk when everyone's standing around munching. It looks suddenly like the greatest food ever. Love your last paragraph! So true. Very good thoughts today.

So are you wearing a bikini to this pool party? I don't own a bikini, nor will I ever, but its a wonderful fantacy! lol Anyway, have fun at all your parties - are you bringing something to the BBQ? Maybe you could bring something a little more healthy for everyone to share? Have a good one!

If I had the time to make something, I most definitely would. But at 2, I'm going to bake the cake for tomorrow, then I have to get ready and BE at the party by 8. Tomorrow morning at like 9, I have to go and decorate the cake, drop it off by 2, and then I have the BBQ at 5. I would like to be able to relax for a little bit in between. And not have to cook. Maybe I'll make a buffalo dip, that just needs to be heated up when you get there, but then I have to buy the carrots and celery. UGH! My life!

We are going to a BBQ after the Yankee game. The guy asked us to bring a dessert. Like, sure dude, anything else?? Does he want me to bring it to the yankee game, leave it in the hot car, and then bring it to his house for everyone to consume?? lol

You're doing great. A little munching over the weekend won't set you back. You know the good habits now, it's all about moderation. Plus, who can stuff themselves silly when they're wearing a swimsuit? Lol.
