Snowwhite100's Journal, 19 March 2019

Our daughter and her husband left today for another doctor appointment and then driving back to Arizona.

I am reminded that when I dieted all my adult life: yo yo dieting, I always read books on dieting just to help me keep focused. This feels somewhat akin to squeezing my brain, trying so hard to not stray. That is why FatSecret is so good for me. I don't have to read diet books. I can just come here and focus on doing the right thing. And for me, the right thing is Intermittent Fasting and heading toward Keto dieting even though I have not kept my carbs low enough on a regular basis, nor kept my protein moderate. Maybe I am getting better at it, and I have generally lost the weight I needed to.

It occurs to me I can throw away a lot of those diet books. I need to throw "some" things away, and of course, most old diet books are low fat, so useless for me today. Thank you to my FS family for helping me focus.

EXCELLENT idea, Snowwhite100! Throw away the old diet books, and maybe ask your husband to carry them out to the trash, to help satisfy his urge to throw your stuff away! Staying focused is definitely what FS does for me, too.
