Nana Ellen's Journal, 12 March 2019

Oh well I did the best I could. Results look more like maintenance. It nine weeks on this Keto challenge and I bacisly just maintained. Less than 20 carbs is next to impossible for me. I can do net carbs easily, but I don’t lose weight. I have to think about my highest weight just 2 years ago at 143 and now hovering at 200. I am going to let my body enjoy my new weight for a couple of months than hit it hard and hopefully lost 20 ponds in a reasonable period. I am going to increase my carbs slowly not bad carbs but I want to add fruit and more vegetables still keeping it under 50g and see what happens.

The good news is My Blood test: Keto 1.1. Fasting glucose 103.
198.8 lb Lost so far: 3.2 lb.    Still to go: 38.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Your numbers certainly look perfect. So it is not like you are not following the basic rules. I agree that at this point you may want to do a little bit of experimenting. I think doing veggies and cutting some dairy could be good. And also do not be afraid to eat enough. Your calories are pretty low.

Also have you considered a stall breaker diet? Many different variations out there such as fat fasts, and protein fasts? They work well for many people.

Eliminating something that DOESN'T work is valuable. It allows you to move on to find something that DOES suit your body and your life better.

Liv001, this might be the reason look what I found . “If you have a sluggish metabolism, the last thing that you should be doing is fasting”. I am diligent about IF.

I don't know Nana Ellen. Everyone has an opinion about what works but what actually WILL work may be something individual to you. I like changing it up. Not stay in the same pattern all the time. So find something that you think make sense and try that for a bit - maybe that is not it then try something else.
