blah blah blah...

TRIED to date again...didn't work...HA!

I'm cursed I tell you...cursed...

Oh well lol. Dude..Just done.

Aaaaanyways...been slacking lately...just maintaining...but almost ready to get on to finishing this weight loss soon...

Made mini keto cheesecake bites last night that are BOMB with strawberry swirls...was surprised they only came out to be 1.75 net carbs and 78 calories each! Had a few for breakfast.

Gonna hit the gym a second time today. I was watching "bringing sexy back" on Netflix and it was so inspiring to hit the gym more often if I can pull it off

My friends, I found the love of my life online at age 54, in 2008, and married him five years later, so it *is* possible. He's two years older. We'd both kissed our share of frogs/froggettes (and had married a couple of them). I think the keys, for my part, were (1) laying out in my "profile" *exactly* who I am and my non-negotiables for a relationship-leading-to-marriage, and (2) limiting the "range of my net" to a reasonable driving distance from my home. It was a small dating site (since absorbed by Match.com) that had its share of ... "rejectables" (for lack of a better word). And I know I wasn't every guy's cup-of-tea.

My husband told me, a few years after our wedding, that he really wasn't expecting to find someone, let alone someone to marry. I asked, "So, what changed your mind?" He answered, "Well, I met you, and you were great!" At a marriage retreat at our church last year, each person was asked to describe their marriage in one word. My husband said, "Waltz. Smooth and easy." That has meant more to me than all the "I love you's" I'd heard, before or since. Every time I recall his words, I fall in love with him all over again.

@Mira I met my ex hubby on eharmony. Great 11 years. My profile is very honest and reflects who I am. Perhaps that why I attract crazy. Cuz I’m a bit cray, cray myself 😂

@Swedishblondie, a little cray-cray is good! My husband is never bored! LOL!

You’re not cursed. You just live in Stockton. Believe me I know. I grew up in Stockton, lived there until I was 34 years old. I never could find a good relationship. Then I moved away and met my wife almost instantly. It’s not who you are, but where you are.

Stockton! I corresponded and talked on the phone for *months* with a "widower" I "met" online from Stockton (family in Hayward, CA) whose only son had died. He said he was a USCG pilot who'd helped rescue people from Hurricane Katrina and was on his way to Kuwait when his father died. I found the obituary naming the guy's three brothers and HIS WIFE AND TWO DAUGHTERS! Oooooh, was I PO'd! He cured me of the "romantic LDR."

Tried to date? At your age it was never anything I turned off or on like a switch. I decided I was either available or not so much... but if fate happened to send “an opportunity” my way well I’ll see where it goes right? If it’s doesn’t happen well it doesn’t. Don’t be so hard on yourself! Let it happen but guard your heart.... listen to me lol. I could be your Grandpa. Ha!
