Well, this is it! Day 14 of the induction diet. I must have been out of it during the first week because I can't believe it's over already! I guess that's when you know when you've truly found a happy medium between your brain, stomach and diet!

I was so excited to hit the gym last night. I was thinking about it all day long, and about 1/2 hour after dinner, I got on the treadmill and full-out RAN the first mile in 8 minutes. It felt GREAT! Then all of a sudden, the burger from dinner started churning in my stomach, making me more and more nauseous and I knew I had made a huge mistake!


OH! I didn't think I had a lesson for the day, but I do! Don't run like a maniac on the treadmill 1/2 hour after dinner! Obviously the complexity of the food I'm eating now is very different than before and takes longer to digest... Can I get a big "DUH!" from the audience??

I noticed that my cravings for those morning cups of coffee have been curved slightly, too. Oh, don't get me wrong! I still enjoy my cup of coffee, but I'm not driven to it like before. There were also times before, certain times of the day or evening when I wished I'd had a hot steamy cup of it, too. I think I was using it to help tide me over until the next meal.

MY weight graph looks like someone built a tee-pee out on the plains! lOL

Yeah, don't do that working out like that so close to a meal! lol Bet ya won't try that again! Sounds like you are just truckin' right along! GREAT JOB! Keep up the great work!

You're doing great! I know it takes a little longer to digest protein. That is why I tend to have more small meals than any big ones. Lunch is my biggest meal but I don't work out right after lunch. I read it takes up to 2 hours to break down proteins, so make sure to chew thoroughly and try digestive enzymes to help break it down.

LOL "DUH" LOL Hugz to you! I am so happy for you. I'm glad that those 14 days flew by for you. You are doing fantastic. Congratulations on that weight loss. I'm glad that you found something that is working for you and that you enjoy.

Hey - i know! isn't that an awful feeling when you get that reflux while excercising? I've had that happen once or twice and it is awful. You sound really positive though and i'm so glad you have found your "zen" dietary situation! The teepee is cute altho I know it's not cute to you! keep up the good work! PDTL

You're doing great too! I know how you feel, today is day 4 and I'm okay. The only thing I find difficult finding something suitable at lunch but there's always a salad, right? Sorry Lorik! I thought that I might not be able to do this long term, especially after induction is over and I will have to watch my fat intake but I feel good, a lot less bloated.

Everyone now..."DUH"!! HAHA!! You're funny! You're so good to get on that tread mill at all but to do it right after a burger? Hummm...haha! I've been 'otta the loop' so I'm going to have to see what your new diet plan is??? I took your advice and cut more carbs out of my diet. I'll chalk up my 1.4 loss to my BadA!!! THANK YOU!! Holy Moly.....an 8 min. mile!! You are Wonder Woman! I'm lucky to get my mile in 20 minutes. So glad this plan is working for you. Keep plugging away and keep us posted! :)
