jenju's Journal, 10 June 2010

I need to pick up a few things for dinner tonight so instead of driving to the grocery after work, I'm going to go home and hop on the bike. My 12 year old is going with me and we're going to meet my husband there. I LOVE integrating exercise with everyday errands and chores! My husband bought me a wicker basket for my bike a couple of weeks ago and it's come in really handy. Even though I'm so bloated, TOM hasn't showed up yet so I want to try to be as active as possible before I become completely incapacitated with agony. Yay, fun!

I think that's a great idea! Some plastic sunflowers would look fantastic...go for it!!!

I love that you have a basket. I have a bag on the back of mine, but it doesn't hold much, usually mine camera. Flowers sound like a great idea to me, then your husband won't steal it! lol

That's awesome! :-) I haven't owned a bike since I was 12...hmm, that would be a nice treat to myself once I hit the 100lb lost mark. :-) Enjoy your day!

Biking is probably one of the best ways to burn calories and its enjoyable. I got a pouch that fits under my seat to hold things. Sorry girls can't go with the fashion basket lol. Find a good trail/park near you for a great place to ride.

I'm fortunate to live less than a mile away from a gorgeous park designed by Frederick Law Olmstead but my bike just isn't equipped to handle the hills and slopes. So, I use the Beast for workouts and my "cruiser" bike to run errands whenever possible. Now, I have the ingredients to make JulesInCT's Cheesy Beef Bake for dinner and sararay's Stuffed Mushrooms as an appetizer. It was fun an productive! Mel - I highliy recommend it.
