I finished my first 5K! It was great. It was hard, harder than running on the treadmill, but I ran every step of the way. I only stopped twice, once to tie my shoe and once for 5 seconds to drink water. My time for 3.2 miles was 46:30 - SUPER SLOW. But I was actually jogging, and jogged the whole thing all the way through. I now have 2 Tee shirts to commemorate this thing. I feel really good - this was a major milestone, to accomplish this at 40 years old.
