You can see my picture better now because MillaLite lightened it for me. Thanks again, ML! My new thumbnail was really hard to see before.

I already posted today but wanted to post again to remind myself of a couple more things:

Put thought into preparing a healthy variety of delicious foods. I have gotten into a boring rut. It helps, but also doesn't help, that I am a member of a community supported agriculture group. This means that they send me local organic produce every week. Its a wonderful deal, good for the environment amd delicious, and sometimes I am forced to try new things that I wouldn't have otherwise tried, and am pleasantly surprised. But othertimes I feel stuck with things that I don't particularly like and don't want to waste them.

I want to get a little magnetized menu planner to plan out healthy delicious meals. I saw one at the dollar store and was thinking of getting it but wasn't sure if I would use it. Now I am sure. I will have to go back. I can find ways to use these unappealing vegatables if I only plan more. Plus, planning will help me in other ways-- remembering to use up about-to-spoil food, or food that I am just not using out of habit, remembering to try recipes I want to try, and remembering to soak beans or nuts for the night or thaw fish.

For some reason, when I really put my mind to putting self-love and effort and creativity into the preparation of my meals, I lose weight a lot faster. This is in part because the satisfaction I get from such carefully prepared food leaves me wanting to eat less. But the difference in the speed of my weight loss is so great that I think there is something more... an intangible, psychological, happiness factor. A combination of reduced cortisol and positive beliefs about eating perhaps. What do you think?

Yeah! I'm so happy that you support local produces. I do that also. Having a farm means that we know a lot of farmers. We know exactly what we eat. And we're happy to support them, seeing how hard they work. My husband just ordered a gallon of maple syrup from our neighbours...oups... I won't be able to eat that... ;-) I'm sure that happiness plays a good part. Must be the cortisol. I lose more weight if I don't care about it then if I stress about it. And I eat lot less when I'm content with good food.

I think that is really neat, all of you farmers supporting each other. I don't know the farmers who provide my produce (in a nearby town, but not my town) but would like to go up and tour the farm at some point. I am also interested in growing some vegetables myself someday. Not for money, just for me to eat! :)
