Oh, what a blast! The Gala was everything anyone could hope for. My favorites: rare roasted lamb tenderloin, bacon-wrapped scallops, unlimited smoked salmon and trimmings, unlimited liver pate, unlimited shrimp and raw oysters, unlimited champagne, wine, vodka cocktail, and about 12 different bite-size desserts. One standout: a cheesecake ball, about the size of an egg yolk, with a swirl of flavored milk chocolate on top. I tasted everything i wanted to but actually did not get full. Didn't actually drink too much either. Someone said there was fruit; I never saw it. . .except for a nice collection of Maine blueberries at the bottom of the vodka, lemonade, blueberry cocktail!

The recipient of the proceeds is a local shelter for homeless women and their children.

And I won a basket of "stuff" from Trader Joe's at the silent auction (there were over 300 items).
146.8 lb Lost so far: 1.2 lb.    Still to go: 9.8 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
