Gearing up for a massive, extraordinary "party" Saturday. Every other year, our retirement center sponsors a gala to benefit a local charity. This year it's a shelter for homeless women and their children. The gala is spectacular, with auction items donated from both the community and from our own residents. (I've put in a handwoven rayon chenille sofa throw.) But the amazing part is the food. Think ultra-gourmet. Now triple that. The staff goes all out, and local restaurants contribute their specialties as well. And I DO want to indulge! So, keeping calories low, low, low for a few days in advance. We'll see if it works.
145.4 lb Lost so far: 2.6 lb.    Still to go: 8.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
