Morning all

Thank you for all your comments and advise

I do have a condition PCOS making weigh loss more difficult than the average female but I dont want to hide behind that. I must push harder.

When eating under 1000 cal a day I lose 1kg a week but my problem when I get home from work .

I love to cook and tast and experiment. I love chips and crackers and that is what throws be overboard.

Im now trying the intermittent fasting as I read on here. still trying to find my rhythm, im going to try and do some more reading about it today

Im positive about it because Im the most hungry between 4 and 6 so I decided I will have my eating period that time

I lost some weight. Water weigh but its atleast a loss and not another gain

You probably know this but refined carbs are poison for our condition. On Fat Secret it is so easy to track your carbs. If you start with keeping it below 100g per day and slowly decreasing it to a point where you are confortable....you will see the weight drop a lot easier than only focusing on calories. Good luck

Google Dr Jason Fung, even though he's a kidney specialist, he has written a couple of things about PCOS, maybe that will help you a lot. He is also a fasting expert.

Nett carbs. Total carbs = Nett carbs + fibre. Fibre is good!

Also look at dr Berg's videos on keto and intermittent fasting. Very insightful

I also have PCOS and with it remember most times their is insulin resistance. so fasting for long periods of time can result in your body thinking it is starving and result in weight gain. let yourself experience everything going on around you and don't hate yourself for mistakes we all make them. this winter I gained the most I have gained in two years but I got myself together admitted my mistakes and wrong and moved forward. Also don't let people discourage you, you are beatiful and special and you need to see it. I let positive people into my circle and only people who help me and I trust can have a say in my life. So do what works for you and at your own pace as well .

YanaD8...I'm.not a doctor but thanks to the internet I have a glut of information at my finger tips. :D According to Dr Jason Fung women with PCOS have high levels of insulin and this encourages the growth of cysts on the ovaries. LCHF and fasting reduces the levels of insulin and can actually reverse PCOS completely. Anyway this is what he says and he is trusted and has written some amazing books. Either way whatever you decide is the best way forward, I wish you the best of luck and vibrant health :)

@lowcarbfim you are right it just has to be on controlled hours course I remember my doc saying their is a difference when you fasting and starving yourself, you need to follow the guidelines of fasting property in order to not go into the other.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2008. What my Dr explained is that my body is insulin resistant. Resulting in very high levels of insulin produced to try and get enough. With that I was told to manage my cars/sugar intake closely as I was also pre-diabetic. At that time my weight was 105kg. I struggled for years to lose weight but instead I gained. I was a health bomb basically. Iron deficiency, low metabolism, diabetic, migraines and body pains. I then got onto a Low carb diet and I started losing weight. But all that changed for the best when I started 16:8 IF. I was lucky to find a clinic were I could go every second week for a brief check up just to keep me on track. The fat just fell off and most of my symptoms disappeared. Did some blood works 2 months back and my thyroid and insulin are coping just fine. Sugar level was very low ofcos due to my diet.
