Thank goodness, a significant drop. And boy does it feel good to be in the 140s. I honestly have NO idea the last time I weighed in the 140s. Probably as I blew past them to become almost 200lbs. This feels good. I feel like I'm looking better. And that bikini ISN'T a far off dream anymore.
I can't believe there was a drop, because I went out to a bar last night to visit a friend who had just started working there. I told myself I was going to be good. 2 Michelob Ultras. I wasn't driving, but I didn't want to go overboard either. But being an "irish" pub, I just had to go and get myself a Black and Blue (Guiness and Blue Moon), which is so smooth, and delicious. I ran into my best guy friend from high school, who I haven't seen in about 7 years. So, then we started drinking more. Let's just say, no exercise, guiness, and getting home at 1:30, I didn't think that the scale would be so kind. I guess every now and then you have to just let yourself go a bit. I did hold back on the french fries though, I wouldn't allow myself to order them.
Back to the grind today thouhg. Tonight I'm giving a demonstration for a girl scout troop. Brooke and I are helping them get their "fun foods" badge, so we're going to have them decorate cupcakes, hopefully they aren't snots, because with this hang over, I'm not liable for any actions I take against minors. After that I'm walking. Perhaps for 6 hours. Okay, probably only an hour and 15 minutes, but still. I hope I can keep the loss up. Because at this rate, I will be at the most 135 for Jamaica. Then I can just work to get the last 15 off at my own pace.
I'm hoping for the 50lbs mark this weekend. I feel like that is a monumental number, and nothing will seem as real as the fact that I've lost 50lbs, and am so close to goal. I've always thought about getting to goal, but it's always been a faraway thought. But now, it's something obtainable. I can't wait. I'm so happy to not be the "fat friend," anymore, and for others to see what I've always seen in the mirror. The outside is finally going to match the inside.
