Well, it's Friday, and I have been weighing myself almost obsessively every single morning just to see the weight fluctuate up and down 1-2 pounds. It's so frustrating. I'm contemplating putting up my scale so I stop obsessing over the number and focus more on the lifestyle and health side of it.

The positive side:
Firmly out of a size 18 pant, definitely a 14-16 now. This makes me insanely happy and excited! It's such a rush to be able to walk into the "regular" section of Kohl's/Old Navy/Target and be able to pick out whatever I want. There's no more doubt that I can find what I want in the size I need. I really must focus on these positive examples of why I need to keep going. If the scale isn't moving, I need to examine my body, my muscles, my clothes for motivation. I can see the changes even if I can't see it on the scale.

It's been almost a month since my last measurements; I will most likely do this on my day off on Monday.

I slept pretty terribly last night. The trains have been blasting their horns nonstop for the last week since a man was hit on the track last week. They're being overly cautious and keeping me awake at night. I was exhausted and didn't wake up for my normal work out this morning. I guess I'll have to go after work :(

OOhhh, that sounds sad about the train accident. You are doing so well and it so much better to guage success on measurements and clothes because the scale is not always an accurate reflection of your hard work. google an article titled, "Why the Scale Lies"

Great article, HCB! Thanks for the insight. I'll probably just put my scale up, do my measurements, and go from there with a bi-weekly or monthly weigh in. Hope you all are doing well!

That's a good idea if is upsetting. I have had times when I also want to throw the thing out the window...but I see the changes in my figure through exercise and clothes!
