What seems to be helping my downward trend is my new habit of putting a handful of grape tomatoes and a handful of celery sticks (or raw carrots or cauliflower) in a bowl every morning and eating the entire amount during the day. I'm actually enjoying the process now. Plus I think it's cutting my desire to snack on higher calorie options. I've bypassed trail mix (with M&Ms) for almost a week and don't feel tempted - a miracle.

My weight loss may reflect more water loss than fat loss, but I'm okay with that. Sugar and carbs make me retain water - and that alone is a miserable feeling.
145.5 lb Lost so far: 5.5 lb.    Still to go: 10.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
