Shanelle05's Journal, 01 August 2012

I haven't posted a journal in a while. I got a new assignment at work. I work for a temp agency. I haven't been exercising because I've been having issues. I need to go to the doctor. For a long time I thought I had something wrong with my blood sugar because if I didn't eat every 3-4 hours sometimes I would feel sick. My blood sugar was tested and it was fine.... Long story short I think I have something wrong with my sweat glands or I can't regulate my body temp correctly. After looking back it seems like I only get sick when I'm outside the house somewhere (where it's not cool). I don't really sweat, I get sick instead. The only time I sweat is when I've ran and that was only on my arms, no where else... I've had this issue for a long time but I didn't pair it with my "sick feeling" as I call it. So a trip to the doctor is in order.... Maybe that's why I've been feeling so blah....

Many people do not do well in the heat. I have gotten dizzy and nausea at times when cycling outdoors, etc. I learned I really needed to pound water - but I sweat a great deal when I exercise, too. I think you are right about talking to a doctor to see what it might be. Good luck!

I would definitely make an appointment with the doc - we still have the whole month of August to get through and if you're having a reaction to the heat, you don't want to worry about it every time you leave your house. Very quickly, things like heat stroke can set in. Hopefully your doc can help figure out what's going on!
