Current Weight

Performance: losing 0.3 lb a week

Goal Weight
199.0 lb
Still to go: 27.4 lb
I'm married with 2 boys. I've always been overweight but the last few years after having my boys my weight really shot up. I've convinced my husband to start losing weight with me using fatsecret. I started January 2nd with eating healthier and exercising. I'm slowly but surely reaching my goal. I plan to start running for exercise. I also need to find healthy recipes as I do not know any. I want to eat more fish and less of other meats.

My goal weight is between 140 and 150. I'm not sure yet where I want to be.

Also I want to help my boys eat healthier. Both of my boys are autistic and very picky about what they eat. We are working with both of them to get them to eat more veggies and fruits.

Final Goals~~

First weight goal - 199 lbs (1der land!!!!)
Final weight goal - between 140 and 150 (shooting for 140)

Foods I'm added to database not showing up for others?
Sunbelt is the old version. Sunbelt Bakery is the new updated version. I'm done trying to figure it out. I emailed fatsecret thinking something was wrong. This was the response I got ....

We use complex algorithms to try and ensure that the database search results reflect the most accurate and comprehensive results, so sometimes not all foods submitted by all users appear in the database for everyone. We are constantly iterating our approach so such foods may appear in the future.

What is the point of adding my food for everyone to use if no one but me will see it????

Foods I'm added to database not showing up for others?
I've added 4 different things by Sunbelt Bakery. My hubby added 1 so there should be 5 that come up..... Hmmm....

Foods I'm added to database not showing up for others?
I cannot get foods I've added to the database to show up when others search for them.

Banana Harvest Chewy Granola Bars by Sunbelt Bakery for example. I added these. I can only find them when I search for them. When my husband searches for them he doesn't find anything? Is anyone else having this issue?

Atkins Bars miscalculating net carbs on food entry
Rmf1211, go your fatsecret page and click on account settings on the right side. One of the settings at the bottom is Food Diary Nutrition Facts. You can choose what nutrition facts are shown.

Skyvixen, you can edit the foods that are entered into the database. I've done it a few times because what was here on FS and what was on the package didn't match. Most of the foods can be edited. When you look at the food in the database on the left under the nutrition facts, if available, there will be the option to edit the food. From there you can update the different numbers from the package.

How To Overcome Plateaus (Set Points)
I feel your pain, I'm having the same problem Sad I've been plateaued for a little over a month now. I think part of it was vitamins I was taking. The other part was I was just dieting and not really exercising. I've started exercising and starting today I'm starting a low carb diet. I've never done low carb before so we'll see how that goes, if I start losing I mean. I sure hope so. I'm tired of being the same weight..... I think once you plateau you have to just keep mixing things up, the foods you eat and exercise, to find what will work. I've tried a few different diet techniques as well, eating more, eating less, eating different things. None of that worked Smile
