My anxiety is finally down. I spent a good night with my family, and had 2 responsible snacks and didn’t break 1000 calories. It’s going to get me on track with losing, I just know it. Tomorrow being Father’s Day, we have a big celebration planned, but I have not baked him cake, cookies, brownies.... and he didn’t even ask for them. I bought plenty of stuff to grill, he’s happy with that. And I got him his favorite beer. About 6 years back, I had just lost my father, and I met my husband. He had just lost his mother. We have spent the happiest, most transformative years of my life together, and food has been so medicinal. My husband nursed me through my grief, and did so with his cooking and his empathetic ear. My father was the cook of our family, and he would LOVE that I married a cook. My husband and I are always trying to recreate the recipes from our past. But tomorrow is about the incredible man my husband is, and what he’s crazy about is his grill. Food so good, you’ll swoon over every bite.
