Had to log some candy today. My stress is through the roof, and so after I had my supper of chicken tuna and apple, I took out my 4 year olds raisinets and had a quarter cup for 190 calories! I’ll tell you what’s empowering, though: stopping at one serving, and savoring the flavor afterwards. It’s like one of those ads you see on tv: woman with wind blown hair bites slowly into a chocolate piece, smiling and chewing carefully. Usually NOT at ALL how I eat. And, old me would have destroyed the entire bag, along with everything else I could manage to scarf down until I was sick 😷
Not the case today. I’m babying myself upstairs in bed this afternoon, wrestling with some heavy topics of thought. I usually preferred to “think” with a major snack next to me... but I just had a responsible dinner and I do want to stick with my goal of OMAD today.
