sugar is hard to give up, especially the way I have done it in the past. keeping refined sugar around in all the items is like telling someone they can quit smoking by smoking. I don't keep any refined sugar products in my house,, no exceptions.
I found that if I completely cut out all refined sugars and tried instead a low carbohydrate diet then my body seem to adapt within 3 or 4 weeks to not even wanting to sugar
moving into more of a fat burning diet with very low carbohydrates. my body doesn't even want refined sugars anymore. And I used to Crave them, ice cream, cookies, even tons of carbohydrates
so many products have high fructose corn syrup in them. This is your enemy. the food industry put this into thing because it's concentrated
look on the the label of even supposedly healthy Greek yogurt and you will find high fructose corn syrup. It doesn't get any more sugary than that
refuse to eat any refined sugars at all. Don't even keep them around you. no candies no ice cream no cookies no whipped cream. Nothing. get only your glucose from carbohydrates that are healthy, raw vegetables, nuts, even some whole grains bread but nothing with refined flour or sugars at all.
just my two cents worth. once you cut out the sugars and go for 3 or 4 weeks you stop wanting them

It's also moved into fat cells very easily and it's in about 80% of the products in most grocery stores so even if a person does try to eliminate sugary sweets and drinks, most of the population in general won't think about the added sugars in products. That can cause someone to relapse as much as a single swig of alcohol for an alcoholic. Oh, and if you happen to live in an area now typically called a food dessert where it's nearly impossible to buy fresh food, those processed foods with added sugar are virtually all you have to choose from to eat. I don't know how they manage.

Fat clogs our sugar receptors causing our body to make extra sugar which leads to unregulated sugar in the blood stream. Fat also clogs our heart and arteries and destroys the lining of the arteries and veins which release nitric oxide to keep our artery walls clean. Both sugar and fat are dangerous to our health when over-indulged.

If you have access to Netflix, there is an amazing documentary called the Magic Pill. Fascinating film.

It’s shocking what some of you believe. Whatever floats your boat...

Fat doesn't clog the heart or arteries. That's some straight up Ancel Keys bull corn.

Taubes was annihilated by Aragon in a debate. He's no better than Dr. Oz. Just making money from the ignorant people who base their diet from a hypothesis that vilifies natural food like fruit over actual science.

Obesity raises your chance of T2. Fat plus sugar are the highest calorie and "addictive" foods. Consumed in a controlled manner, they do not makes one obese. Certain foods are not the reason for obesity or T2. A calorie surplus is.

Lol, let's listen to this caricature instead of the people who have avatars. Sugar is life. She loves to delete posts, btw. When you have no evidence, you tend to have to put your fingers in your ears.

You know what turns to fat even easier than sugar when taken in excess? FAT.

I wonder what would happen if you have someone starving to death and you gave him 3 Twinkies per day? Oh yeah, I know what would happen, they would still starve to death because sugar is not superior in keeping life saving fat on a body. Quit claiming that it is with this BS.

Like I’ve been saying...we all have our dietary dogma. You have yours. I have mine that I KNOW and believe is true for me, discussed with my physician. She is not opposed and is impressed with my blood glucose numbers. That being said, we have had a conversational confrontation in the past and we very obviously disagree. I have steered clear of you since then because I think you’re conversational style is overly aggressive bordering on bullying. I post what I believe. You are free to do the same.

How do you KNOW something when there are countless people like me who are in shape despite the evil sugar? How are there this many special individuals that defy your science? Maybe because your science is wrong? Noone is special. Less energy in than out=fat loss and vice versa. Physics.

Yeah, there's the dietary advice you want to give someone just starting out, "eat donuts". And when they fail, it's their fault. That's just a laugh riot.

Anyone that is still deluded into thinking fat makes you fat has a skewed view, myopic and erroneous or is attention-seeking. Cane sugar (glucose and fructose) can certainly be blamed for the massive epidemic 😷of metabolic issues, including fat-related illnesses. But I’m reading 📖 about High Fructose Corn Syrup 🌽that is causing fatty liver and GI ailments that end in liver, pancreatic and colon cancers. I watch videos where parents are in ketosis and eating clean. Then they give their kids spagettios and Capn Crunch. What a fail.

Yeah, Phil. That donut is less calories than the Bullet Proof coffee people are actually drinking and posting pictures of on here. More filling too.

Sugar, grains and vegetable oils kills thin people too. Not well known, so people may think they are ok till they eventually end up with 'surprising' health problems.

Juls, you're describing complications due to obesity. Obesity which is caused by a calorie surplus. A surplus that is caused by fat and sugar together. I don't know anyone who just sits there and spoons sugar into their mouth. It's a food like donuts, fettucine Alfredo, Pizza etc that are calorie dense that are more likely the issue when people are not being conscious of how much they're eating.
