Took more steps yesterday, but didn't burn as many calories???
Could be that fit bit tracks not only steps but heart rate. Maybe the steps you took the day before was creating a faster heart rate. Just a guess.

Should you weigh yourself with or without clothes?
Agree with everyone who said consistency is key. However clothes can vary in weight so I weight myself after going to the bathroom and getting out of the shower and before having my morning coffee.
