I needed to rotate this image. One would think that I would remember from one day to the next how to take a picture with my phone, but that seems to be beyond me these days. My body has be functioning better, and I had energy after taking a walk yesterday. Today, I also took a walk around grounds at the Senior Center. As I got to my car, the phone rang. A friend's husband had passed. We had been watching him fail all winter.

Many Americans fall into a long, slow decline that ends with tubes and drugs and hospice. These people were never really in shape. In contrast, this man lead a healthy lifestyle for most of his life, and it has only been in the last year or so that things stopped working. My grandparents were the same way. My dad is hale and hearty at 93, but my mom was sick from the time she entered perimenopause until her death thirty years later. She was a sugar and tobacco addict who refused to exercise. My two sisters are showing our mother's health pattern. I was as well, but I am working to reverse it. I will tell anyone who will listen how to stay off of chemical medications, and where to look for natural alternatives that combat common ailments. Nothing would please me more than to see another diabetic get off of all unnatural treatments and embrace the ketogenic lifestyle which leads to rock steady blood glucose levels, normal blood pressure, and healthy cholesterol ratios.

I mourn for my friend, and wish her the best in her new paradigm. She has many friends and family who will help.
