Diana1234- call the GI doc. Exchange. There should be someone on call who may be willing to prescribe some meds to support his colitis until he is cleared of Covid. 

I am praying for your husband. I am so afraid of getting Covid, mostly because of my age and obesity.. He must be miserable with co!it's as well. Hope he feels better soon and can rest

🙏💚🙏💚🙏 Diana, it helps to keep notes as this nasty bug attacks everyone differently. (I'm still recovering from a bout with it 10 months ago, the notes help so they don't jump to 'this must be a new thing' if it drags). 🙏ing he beats this free and clear 🙏🙏 

So sorry to hear he is ill. Hope he is better soon. Please take good care of yourself as you caring for him.

Thank you everyone. This is his 2nd bout with Covid. 1st time was in early 2021. He was not vaccinated then. He was vaccinated this time and he actually has it worse than 1st time.( not making any kind of statement, just an observation). Kenna, I have a video call scheduled for Tues with gastrologist. Joe also has had bouts with gall stones so I'm not sure which it is. When I called gastrologist she said if pain gets to bad to take him to ER... health care in Nevada is known not to be the best..

Losintown, I have been very careful. I wear a mask and wash/ sanitize myself and everything he touches. I have been exposed person to person ( unknowingly) about 4 times and have never tested positive. I am grateful for that but don't take it for granted. We went to a hockey game last Sat and am wondering if that's where he got it. It's the only crowded public place we have been lately and none of our friends have it. 💜🙏

Hope the Paxlovid eases Joe's symptoms soon. May I ask when he was last vaccinated? I've been getting my boosters every 4-5 months, and am curious as to how long this latest Omicron shot version is lasting.

Diana123— healthcare here in California has been pretty scetchy since Covid as well. The deal with this latest variant is that it isn’t as responsive to the current vaccine as previous variants were, and it is more contagious. There is also almost no difference between the flu symptoms and the Covid symptoms, so without a test it’s hard to distinguish. My BF was just diagnosed with Covid as well. He is 83 and otherwise healthy. Severe head cold symptoms are all so far. I’m doctoring him up and so far so good. I’ll probably be on the short list to be the next victim.
