Sorry I know you're trying so hard and it's frustrating. It happens to me too and to most everyone..

Loss is never linear. There are so many variables at play. I’m sure you’ll see results soon enough.

I’m in the same boat! Sometimes I think healthier foods can cause more bloating, for me anyway. Then I’ll have a cookie and suddenly bam, weight goes down

I threw out the scale in January 2000 and never once regretted it. Your tightest jeans will tell the tale if you're gaining or losing fat. Quit weighing. Seriously, it's like an addiction, and it does no one any good. Just eat right (including enough) and exercise reasonably, and your body will find its own best size.

Sometimes it doesn’t make sense, my kids sits around all day and eats crap and stays the same weight. I look at a bag of peanuts and gain 4 pounds.

Diana - did you work out quite a bit. I notice that even if I am following my diet reasonably well I will gain a little after workout. I am not expert but I think I remember the trainer saying that our muscles will retain some water. I am sure some of the weightlifters on here can maybe tell us how it works! LOL I weigh my self all the time because I feel I need to stay accountable. You got this and maybe you will have a whoosh here!

You've been in the game long enough to know that the scale doesn't always reflect the work you are putting in. Keep at it. I know it is frustrating regardless.

I'm sure you're doing a great job. Wait until the end of the month then measure your muscle mass and your weight.

I would wonder what was causing the gain too, but it could be water retention or muscle gains. Most of the time if I'm up a pound or 2, you really couldn't tell by looking at me. I can tell if I'm retaining water cause my fingers will swell a little. Maybe your sweet spot is right around 130. If I'm eating in a consistent calorie range, I fluctuate a pound or 2 either way. Try not to anguish over it. Are you wanting to be under 130?

Sometimes it just happens, hang in there, the drop will come.

If you are relying on the FS calorie counter, I'm sure you're aware that it can be off by significant amounts. For instance, you logged 2.5 oz of pork loin at 96 calories, but a quick google check shows that it's almost double: 172 kcal. So that 5 oz serving from the other day wasn't 193 kcals, it was 343 kcals.

I wouldn’t worry. Being a woman says it all. 😂😂

I weigh myself once a week or sometimes even less. As long as I know I'm doing good that's what matters. Also - weighing myself in the morning can be more than in the evening. Just something to consider :)

JB, I didn't catch that. I usually check as I know FS calorie counting can be all over the place. That being said, I still am frustrated at inconsistency in my weight. I went to gym and did 40 min of cardio machines at pretty good levels, which anyone that knows me, knows it was torture..lol

I hear you, Diana. Everyone that knows you is aware that you exercise hard for an hour+ every day, from lifting to bodypump classes, etc. If it persists, perhaps it may be time for a thyroid medication tune-up?
