I find that the more people (including me) plan and talk/write endlessly about what they're going to do/might do/should do, the less is in fact done.

Holy crap! Relax, dude! It's less than a half pound. Go pee twice and it'll be gone lol.

LC, that's exactly how I am feeling. 🙊

Chris, I am looking at the big overall picture. 👀 I have only lost 5 pounds since December! I admit last year was hard for me, but I had regained the weight before then, so my self-complaint is justified. I do appreciate you trying to encourage me. I will now go do my strength training workout with my 3lb. weights. 💪🤪👍

I'm too much in my own head too Cc. I'm not a model and have no plans to become one, so I think some of the planning/tracking is overkill. Obsessive. Just do it is the best way.

Chris floors me!!🤣🤣🤣 I am falling backwards as well Becky, as it being my birthday week and my husband having time to cook delicious meals, ahhhh! Without FS tracking and the FS family, I would be doomed during this time of year. So thankful! Dang, JustBananas was on target too telling me to be careful, I would gain back my lose in the mountains. 🙃 Let’s both do the Nike quote.👍 Great post Becky, have a Stupendous Sunday and a productive one! 🌸🌺💕🌼

Shrewdness, we know what we have to do. Not sure if I wished you a happy birthday, so I hope you had a lovely birthday. I know you weren't feeling well, so some gain after is expected. Putting in new windows today. 😳

Aww, Mer, you're a sweetheart. 💕 Thank you. I do get frustrated, because I know better. I just give myself an encouraging scolding and I straighten out, hopefully. 🙄

Shrewd, I'm the inside guy. 🪟 🙋‍♀️

👍😄🤣! Let us know about the windows, are you doing it yourself? I need new windows! 🪟
13 Jun 21 by member: Shrewdness
Shrewd, yes, installing them ourselves. Not a huge job, 8 windows, just takes time. They're the same size opening, so simply replacing. Purchased them from Home Depot, no interest if paid within certain amount of months. The work comes with finishing out the inside moulding.

Mmmmkay, but you just had a big celebration! With lots of beautiful and delicious food! To celebrate the things that truly matter! Go back and read the manual. You wait a week, maybe two, to weigh yourself. Otherwise you just feel crummy! Just go back to plugging away, and it will all even out.

Thank you Jen. 💕 You are right, I do have make more of an effort if I want to see positive results. You reminded me of my oldest daughter with the "Mmmmkay". 😁💖

No dear Becca, what i was trying to say is you just celebrated a beautiful 40 year marriage! Don't end up feeling bad and being hard on yourself!!! It is a lot easier to take off a couple of anniversary week pounds (or ounces, as Chris pointed out) than to achieve 40 years of marriage, to someone you still can stand no less! Be proud!

I feel like it's important to point out that there will always be celebrations, there will always be BBQ's, picnics, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, holidays, etc. We can gather together and not overfill our plates. We can spend our time at the table talking rather than inserting a fork. And since we have no idea what the calorie count is in food that others prepare, we simply have to include the Tiny Portions Rule in our WOE. Celebrations may include high calorie foods, but that is not what is being celebrated (exception: Thanksgiving).

Jen, I understood what you said on the first comment, I just didn't answer completely or clearly. I should have said, "you're right, BUT I need to make more of an effort". I do get down on myself, because I had already lost most of the weight I wanted to and then gained it back. On top of that , I have only lost 5 lbs since December. I don't stay down for long and I do count my blessings. I think I am tired of my own excuses and dismissals that are floating around in my head. In a way the getting down on myself is what I need to get back on track. For me it isn't self-defeating, as long as I use it in a positive way. And I do appreciate your cheering me on and the uplifting compliments. I use them too, to get me going in the right direction. ❤ I believe and do agree with you also JB. I have been to celebrations and on 2 week vacations where I enjoyed the company and festivities and still lost weight, so I know it can be done without feeling deprived. Just like my pencil says, Make Goid Choices.

Lovely, lady, I'm cheering you on! We can do this! And... Chris is right! Hahah! Love that brother of yours. 😊

You can celebrate without filling your plate, but getting drunk requires some work. 🤣
