Day 4 of a planned 5 day ‘no solid food’ fast
Blood sugar 97 mg/dL

32 pushups 2019 PUSH UP Challenge!

The pounds are 📉 dropping fast. I really don't know why. Perhaps it is because I have more 💪🏾 muscle? Let's see what happens 📅 next week because I don't plan to change anything next week that I am doing this week.

🧘🏾‍♂️ For me, after all these years I have come to the conclusion that my 'hunger' is mental. So, drinking green tea with Splenda will truly get me through a day. The Splenda gives my body and brain the 'sugar hit' that 'mentally' makes me feel (temporally) 'satiated'.

Later, I realized that 🥛 protein shakes in heavy cream (200 calories 3 carbs) will do the same and give me a 'bigger hit'. So I usually drink tea or protein shakes about every 2 hours during a 'no solid food fast'. However, *I do-not-NEED-to-eat*. I have water fasted enough days to learn that water and electrolytes are all I need for days.

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

so is everything else regular this week or have you been doing some green tea to replace the protein shakes all day or a mix of the two? glad the carb weight gain is leaving quickly!

I am glad you are having great results! 😀🙏

@baskington - I have always been drinking Green tea with Splenda. I just don't log it because it has less than 1 carb and less than 12 calorie. I am allowing myself more heavy cream, so I am taking in more fat and 300-400 more calories a day. However, I have done that many times in the past and did-not-drop-mush-at-all, - - I think next week, if I do the same thing this week (more heavy cream during the day), and get the same results, will provide a new 'eating plan'.

@Keilin_4 - Thanks! Gonna enjoy these win while they last :) I hope to make the most of this good fortune because on Saturday I plan to try to eat steak all day. I may not lose, but, I may avoid my usual 'weekend weight gain'. I would love to start Monday at say 170lbs...

You are doing great! It is really interesting that our body’s ability to lose weight changes with our body’s current condition. I was nearly starving myself (-500 cals a day) for months and only losing 1 pound a week when I was close to 200 pounds. But now that I’m in the 150s I lose weight at 1500 calories! Muscle could be part of it (and carbs of course) but Idk I think it had more to do with being too sick from being over weight.

@CrashtestDawnie - I have had similar results. It appears I can either A) "Water Fast" at less than 300 cals a day and lose 1-2 pounds a day or B) "No Solid Food Fast" at 1000-1200 calories a day and lose 1 pound a day - - Basically lowering my calories below 1000 calories a day does not make that big of a difference with my weight loss - - However, I must still keep the carbs around 50 carbs a day (or lower) and the calories below 2000 - - However, nothing stays permanent. As my body changes I have to keep changing things up.

I think the pounds are just afraid of the push ups so they are jumping right off! ;)

@nikeit - Haha I WISH my body were 'afraid' of me. It only cares about its precious 'equilibrium'.
