Another ten miles this morning walking along my favorite little river. The sun was shining so wonderfully! I saw a beautiful pair of otters playing on the other side along the bank. Too far away to get a good picture, but such fun to watch!

What a nice walk! I enjoy seeing wildlife. I am lucky where I live, there are always deer, wild turkeys and squirrels everywhere when I walk , although I don't have to walk to see them.

Thanks so much, guys! ♥️ Crystal, arent otters wondeful!? We often see them along this stretch of the river, but it is always a terrific treat! I love them! I'm glad you have lovely critters to see on your walks and out your windows, Fritzy! 😁 Gib_Jig, I'd rather be walking around European towns, but this is a pretty nice place too! Nikina, It is fun to see all the wildlife! Even the geese with their smooth feathers and arrogant saunter are fun!

Darwin, mostly I don't think of it as cardio, but it is movement for sure. And... burning 800 or so extra calories is extra nice! 😁 Erica, I really love walking and I'm so excited my knee is managing the miles! I'm at about 28 miles since Monday, and I have another walk (which might only be 8 miles) planned on Friday. There was a time a couple years ago that my walking goal was 40 miles a week. Then I started lifting and running more and my miles decreased. I'd like to get back to at least 30 miles a week again. That doesn't count work steps... Just deliberate going for a walk. I'm feeling pretty good! 😁

buenita, thank you! Walking is a terrific stress release, and I'm really grateful for a walking partner who is dedicated and willing to push hard for longer distances and a quicker pace. We are a pretty good match. Sk! These were not terribly fast miles. Just four miles an hour. I like to go faster (and I will as long as my knee can handle it in the future) so maybe 5 to even 5.5 miles an hour would be good! But, I can't sustain that for 10 miles! 😁 Then it would be cardio for sure!! 😂
