Fritzy 22's Journal, 08 January 2022

Good luck with that. All mine are rescues and my reason for keeping on when nothing else matters. Missy is 6 lbs of crazy and eats more than anyone else in the house. Haven't been able to get her prescription food for months now. LG is 15 lbs and despite being on diet food and getting fed less than anyone else seems to keep gaining. Poor George is around 11 lbs despite allowing Missy to eat all of his food most of the time. They are fed in separate rooms so it's a rodeo every day.🤠  

Ahhh so that is Fritzy!!! He is pretty.  

Thanks Jeannie and Liv. Fritzy is the only cat I've ever had that always comes when I call him. He can be in the other side of the house and when he hears "Fritzy!!" he finds me and jumps on next to me with lots of head butts to get me to pet him. If I'm sitting on the couch and pat the place next to me he jumps right up. The other cats don't come when I call their names unless it's followed by the sound of a can opener. 

Fritzy that is so sweet ! I have only had two who came into my life shortly one after the other and that started back in about 2005. The first I had to put to rest a few years ago and now have just one. Her name is JoJo a black/white medium long haired beautiful girl. Both my cats always came to me no matter what name or which one I was calling out to.... they responded to the tone of my voice and not the name. Same little trick I use...pat on the bed, sofa, or chair and they jump up. Mine never respond to a can opener but my dearly departed always came running when he smelt onions or garlic on the stove top, or other savory food. He would hop up onto the top of the kitchen cabinets , fridge to the uppers and make me CRAZY. Worse than catnip. I miss that response and many of his other interactions. Cats are the best. You have a huge heart for animals and that is one of the things I really like about you. Stay well. 

Fritzy both mine were rescues. My first came to me because someone dumped him and all his siblings in a coworkers yard and she looked to find them homes. After he was neutered I went on a shopping trip to all the shelters in the area to find him a companion I thought best suited to him. I think she new her job those first years and they were the best of friends.... love buddies. He was for many years the one who showed the most affection to me. But since his death JoJo has stolen my heart. Cat lovers unite ! 

Yup!!! We have one cat, out of 7, that is very loyal to my husband & I.(SNOW)Whitey The other 6: One, is Kiki, She is going to be 4, this year was on Death-Row(Shelter-Cat). We got her when she was about 5 months young. Mr. Bunny, is 6 months, was brought home, by husband, from jobsite after he had just brought me 1 female Torti-kitten, Boo-Boo(3 weeks young and very runty). A day or 2 later, he brought Boo-Boo's 

2 other sisters: Liona & Mitallikat & their brother: Mr. Bootz. So, believe me when I say, IK what you mean.... 

I forgot to mention that Whitey is going to be 14 yrs young in April. The 4, feral-sibling, are one month older than Mr. Bunny, now. 6 months young

That was good control on your part to only eat half of the stir fry. I'd have had trouble trying to do that. 

Thanks CrazyCat - Marco often comes when I call Fritzy, although I know he knows his name is Marco. He just doesn't want to miss whatever treat he thinks Fritzy is getting! My 3 cats are all rescues, 2 from the animal shelter which I like to support. It's a no kill shelter and I took 2 little ones there about a year ago and they found homes for them. Slow Meta - there was a time before I retired that I had 7 cats. It happened after I adopted 2 feral kittens and finally let mama in. She hung around the house knowing her babies were inside. She never really bonded with me, but bonded with another one of my cats, followed him everywhere. Then later fell in love with a big black chow chow I got from a rescue group. But 3 cats is working well. All males ages 7, 8 and 9 and they think they are litter maters. Thanks CrystalJo , Pauline and Lourock. Fritzy had a rough 2021. Major dental surgery (about $1500) with 7 extractions. Then he ended up getting an infection when a sutre didn't hold and after that I took him back to the vet and said "he isn't feel good, he keeps shaking his head". He had an ear infection. First cat I've ever had to get an ear infection. He is now back to normal. Adamevegod - are you talking about my toast and jam for breakfast? I am still keeping my calories within guidelines but the jam isn't the best choice. Snowwhite - There was too much stir fry to eat it all. There's plenty for today, but I still haven't had it. Maybe tomorrow.
