Happy 2021! Today is the day that I set new goals, give myself that new year, new you pep talk, and then fall asleep and drool/snore anywhere I sit because I stayed up way too late last night.
I do need to make some serious changes. Working remote, closed gyms, not being on the farm, and having a fully stocked kitchen only 10 feet away at all times has not helped me. I've reached the point where putting on my shoes feels like an accomplishment. Not because I put them on that day.. because I didn't pass out from lack of oxygen putting them on.
So yes I am totally doing that thing where I say things like "this is the year", "new year, new me", "by the end of this year I will be able to put on my shoes without seeing my life flash before my eyes" and "Yes.. I will wear my jeans without feeling like I am wrestling an alligator".
I'm going to journal even if the journal is about the number of times my dog barked at people who walked by the house that day. I'm going to eat better, I'm going to workout on a regular basis, I'm going to drink water, I'm not going to fall for some weird fad/app/or random person on tiktoc who told me they were the answer to weightloss. (My other goal is to get out of debt.)
My promise to myself this year is I'm going to do better.
