Fasting blood sugar 145; weight 169.4 Plan for the day: green tea fast most of the day. Too many sweets have entered the house because of holidays. I am craving sweets, so now is the time to do a cleansing fast. So far so good: skipped breakfast. I fasted until 6:30 p.m., checked glucose: 108, then ate an egg and cheese sandwich on flax bread, with a 1/2 cup of low carb eggnog. At that point, I weighed wearing heavy sweater and pants, plus my boots and only weighed 4/10 pound more than I weighed in the morning undressed. So hopefully in the morning I will see some success. This has helped me get past that craving for sweets. (A friend had gifted me with peanut brittle and some Atkins peanut butter cups! The Atkins would have been ok, except my body doesn't tolerate sugar alcohols) Macros 36/43/21; 470 calories; fiber 8.0; net carbs 35.0; net kcals -1503
