I have a NSV (non-scale victory) to tell you about! Last year, while I was still in the losing phase of my weight-loss journey, I hiked a very difficult trail into the hills of the Little Picacho Wilderness Area. It was so difficult that I never went back that way again. It's mostly all uphill culminating in a long climb up the biggest hill at the end. Today I decided to go back that way and see if I could do it more easily after losing all that extra weight. I did it like a champ today! I marched straight to the top without stopping. Once at the top I savored the NSV moment and enjoyed the view for a few minutes before returning to camp.

1) This photo shows the last stretch, the finale of my walk today. I took that winding road all the way to the top. When I made the same trek last year I had to stop and take several breaks before finally making it to the top. Today I marched right up to the top without stopping even once.

2 & 3) These photos show the view of the surrounding hills from the top.

4) This is also the view from the top looking back from where I came. Can you see the campers? One of them is mine.

5 & 6) I had to share these pictures of the amazing color changing sunset we had last night. Desert sunsets can be quite a treat.
