Bad AND good day.

Been having "issues" all week and discussed with one of my doctors Wednesday. She suggested Dulcolax, which isn't for people with kidney issues but she said it would be okay. I was trying to avoid it, but broke down this morning and bought some.

Bad day because I'm sitting here looking at my bike instead of sitting ON it. Unless I am sitting somewhere else...Sorry if too much TMI.

Good day because RM and I went to our favorite farmer's market this morning and picked up so much stuff...for less than 20$. I love this place...tutored two of the owners grandchildren 15 years ago one summer...bright kids whose parents just wanted their kids to be challenged for the summer. There were dozens of families out in the strawberry fields picking berries with their little ones (I always tell my friends this place is available for field trips). The place was packed. There is an area a few hundred feet away from the market with picnic tables and huge oak trees that have been there for centuries (where I used to tutor on pretty days). Two houses back up to it, where some of the families live that own the market. This market and working farm has been going strong since before the Great Depression. As you walk around the store, you can see pictures of the family going back for generations.

Anyway, RM and I took Binky-puppy along to the market. RM walked Binky around the picnic area while I went in the store and shopped. Stopped at Walgreens on the way home.

A little field trip for our puppy!

Going to eat toast tonight instead of my usual smoothie.

7th day of St Thomas Aquinas Novena.

Be blessed, friends!
Onward!

Hope your issues are a thing of the past soon and you're back on the bike and feeling better! That market sounds great and so nice to have binkypup along! Schumi has gone with us to markets a few times and we've been surprised by how well she behaved, but since Binky's going from such a young age I'm sure she's a natural! Glad you had some good in your day and it's great that you always see the positive side!

Thanks Nikina. Love that you bring your fur-baby on outings too. Binky-pup cries in my arms for a few minutes, and then puts her head on my shoulder and just hugs me while RM drives. I think she gets over-excited and it makes her cry. We are trying to make it "fun" to go on car rides. Eventually we want her to ride in a car seat that we have for her, but want her to get over her anxiety first. I'm such a fool for my little pup. Have a great weekend! :0)

Binky a market is a great place to go you can get your cardio in by walking around all the stalls three or four times, speaking to the stall holders I've found that they all happy to offer advice and talk. Did Binky puppy enjoy their walk?

Aymla, you commented on the last post, but I understood. Glad to meet you too and excited to get to know you. ☺

Chestnut63, I did plenty of walking! They have a smokehouse next door to the market, and a guy was in there with bits of sausage to sample. I was so good NOT to have some. Binky loved her walk and did not cry all the way home. 😁

Hey,. you may want to give miralax (or generic) a try. That's what I recommend for all my dialysis patients and is approved by all my nephrologist. Obviously check with yours, but I have some patients that use it on a daily basis. sorbitol or lactose is good for when you are in a real jam, but your doctor would have to give you a script for them.

Good for you to turn your day around and find some enjoyment in it. I find it hard to imagine going to an outside farmers market in the winter. Enjoy your lovely weather.

Ahhh, markets are great. Too bad it is in the 30's here. I hope you feel better and can get a bit of biking in. That was my favorite activity for awhile.

Actually, it is a grocery store like farmers market...indoors. It is all produce with a bakery in the back that bakes pies. It was almost 70 degrees that morning. It is surrounded on almost 3 sides with farmland. Thanks friends. 😁
