Good Monday morning, fs! Now that i am working for myself i no longer hate Mondays. It is nice!

We had a blast at the fair with rm's family. We went on the giant slide first thing! I am SHOCKED at how easily i made it up the steps. I still can't believe it. No good pix. Will try again when we go this week.

I ate a ton. Still need to log all of it. I had the sensation that my whole belly came back when we got home in the evening. It was rather sobering. But i also realized (and someone - kenna i think - pointed this out to adef), that the food was definitely better in my mind all these months anticipating it than it was actually eating it. This is something to think about.

One thing that was super great was we tried the new "first kiss" apples (although they were a whopping $3/ea which is ridiculous, imo). But we liked them. I still like honeycrisp better, but i would get the first kisses too.

I got 22.5k steps, so that is great.

Anyway, we are going once more this week, and that should do it. :)

Today is cardio core and probably helga. Supposed to storm later. Will IF. Hope everyone is off to a good week!

Have you tried Fuji apples? They used to be my go to for everything from baking to pork chops.

I like the tartness of Granny Smiths. I bought a dehydrator a couple of years ago and make my own apple chips. One or two chips fit the bill... No sugar added!!!

@davet58, i have had fuji. I like them, but the "delicious" varieties are really the only ones i don't like. Granny smith used to be my go-to, for pie, snacking and sandwiches, but honeycrisps have pretty much ruined me for other apples.

They ran out of those apples, with five days to go! At $3 a pop!
