today I am in a bit of a pissy mood. I really miss my coffee. I keep trying to figure out how I can get it back. I tested earlier in the week and took a couple sips and got some bad feelings/symptoms pretty quickly. dumped it in the sink.

I can deal with the eating meat though it is getting old. I will be adding new meat and fish choices to lighten up things. I am getting tired of eating ribeyes. Never thought I would say that.

Sometimes I just get mad that I allowed myself to endulge in all these healthy foods. New foods tend to be things that cause me trouble which is exactly what happened this go round.

I am and always been very sensitive to veggies, I have never liked eating them and adding all those healthy oils just totally did me in. Allergic to coconut oil, allergic to almond oil, needless to say I can't have the real whole food either. Nuts, can't have those either. Always had a problem with flour too, bloat up like crazy and retain water. Now I am hopeful that I will be able to deal with cheese. once things settle down I will test it, but it is not top on my list.

funny how some of us are so hard headed we have to learn the hard way. I went through this a couple decades ago and thought maybe I have healed. Heck this is how I got fat, lazy and foggy brained, I did not stick with limiting those foods that caused me problems.

I am feeling better on most days, yesterday was kind of off as I was running from the doctor to the xray machine to the lab for bloodwork. 4 hours of running around without anything to eat except a cup of bone broth. Made up for it this morning with a nice juicey steak. Yes totally the bad fat and protein. Which for me is a good thing.

At least it will not kill me! Now since I don't really want to lose weight I am trying to keep out of ketosis, I just want to heal and work out to burn off the fat. I am having too much trouble staying hydrated with the immune system out of wack. Hopefully the bloodwork will give us some clues to help.

I hope things get better for you. I know how hard you work at this. Maybe try a different brand of coffee. I found some thing that didn't side well with me if I tried another type or brand of it, it was okay.

nope, coffee unfortunately is out. Even when I healed years ago, I had to limit my coffee, it effects me. brain fog. blurred vision etc. once things are back to normal I may be able to have a cup, but it will be a while. I drink my 5 hour energy to avoid the lack caffeine headache, I have about half in the morning.

So sorry about that. I am scared of the energy drinks, so coffee is my only caffeine.

Have you tried a coffee alternative? My mom used to drink Postum.

I’m sorry 😟. I love a cup of good strong coffee. I’m missing lots of other things though.

Is it the acid from the coffee? There was a brand of slow roasted coffee that had 70-80% less acid. It was really good stuff. http://maverickscoffee.com/25-coffee Might be worth experimenting with in the long run to be able to have coffee again. I know that I would be in jail if I had to go without my morning coffee. :)

coffee is my vice, well besides my smoking, but that is a ecig, so I have a least a little better than the actual smoking. 5 hour is the only energy drink I will use. It is cleaner of crap than any of the others. My son uses the monster but he needs the stuff that comes with it and they are his sponsor for his jet ski racing. Definitely hard headed and just was a little cross today. I get tired of folks slamming other peoples diet plans and I got grumpy. I support everyones plan, we are not the same and we all have our own way of doing things. but give me a month and I should be feeling better. I already feel a ton better, just still adjusting to finding enough fat that I can tolerate to make up my calories. thanks for all the support.

thanks it is a pain but it is something I just got to deal with. some people are just not made to eat veggies and nuts I guess.

Thank God we live in a time and place that offers us choices. 👍

Once you're at a good weight being in ketosis shouldn't cause you to lose more - as long as you eat plenty of fat it will burn the fat eaten. That's one of the problems a lot of people have when trying to lose weight, they eat lots of fat and don't burn their own. Allergies are awful.

well I am trying to slow my weight loss down and it is hard, as I have a hard time making my calories. I try to maintain my protein in the 75 to 90 range and that leaves a ton of calories to be fat. and I just have a hard time finding fat options that I can have. the bone broth is a pretty good source though. lots of good things in there besides the fat. I should be averaging 1500 calories a day and even if I eat 400 calories of protein that leaves a lot to be filled up in fat. hopefully I will be able to add a few things in over time.
