Erin76's Journal, 01 February 2008

Hello Everyone,

I am returning after a short break and time to revaluate my weight loss plan. After much thought I have decided to leave the Weigh Watchers Program. I am still a very strong advocate of the program! I think it works very well for some people. However, I began to put too much stress on myself and started to self destruct (as you can see in my graph).

I have decided to carry on my weight loss journey on my own accord. My plan is to make smart choices, watch portion sizes and follow the Canada Food Guide to ensure that my body is getting the requirements to be healthy.

I am at a point where going to the gym and eating healthy is going to be enough for me. If I don't lose another pound, I will know at the end of the day I have treated my body with the respect it deserves.

With that said, I am VERY happy to be back! I am going to stalk some charts and see how my Buddies are doing.

With Love and Respect

Erin

thanks for your comment on my chart. I just switched my approach recently too and I'm noticing with myself and with buddies that sometimes its these kinds of changes that make the charts start to move. when you finally go easier on yourself and focus just on eating right and exercise rather than on stricter things that you dont enjoy. that's so wonderful that you are at the point where eating healthy and exercising are enough for you! yay for you! I bet your chart will start zooming down! vroom vroom! :)

I've always said at the end of the day, the most important thing is that I am healthy and strong enough to play with my kids - even if I have a couple extra pudges. I've always considering maintaining my weight as much an accomplishment as losing - because either way I'm better off than I would be if I was even just slightly gaining! It's all part of the journey!
