Blood Glucose = 115 mg
Recently, someone posted that Sriracha has sugar in it. Ouch. I had about eight ounces left in a bottle and half a pound of pork, so I cooked them together. The smart thing to do would have been to portion it out and eat a little at a time, but no, that's not what I did! Yes, I sat there and ate the whole thing! I ran out of keto test strips, so I do not know if this knocked me out of ketosis. My blood glucose did go up. Except for the fun in the bathroom first thing this morning, I feel great.
Today's plan includes taking pictures of my "garden", performing housework/maintenance, and planning next week's meals and shopping list. All I have are some frozen meats and vegetables, and some homemade condiments in the refrigerator. I could fast today, because tomorrow, dinner will be with my dad and sister.
There may not be a lot of wisdom in my experience last night, but a martial arts friend posted this Facebook:
"When my daughter says, 'this is too hard; I want to quit!' I look her in this eye and say, 'Put on your uniform, and let's go to class.'"
That's life; some things are hard, and sometimes we do stupid things to make life harder. Your courage and your strength is measured NOT by what knocks you down, but by how many times your get up and do the the right thing no matter how hard it is.
