I'm concerned about not making it to my first "mini" goal. When I first started this journey, at 261 lbs, I set mini goals for myself to reach every 10 weeks so that I wouldn't be overwhelmed with the 111 lbs I needed to lose. My first one is next week and it's 223...I'm 6 lbs away from that right now so it's not looking good for the home team! I'm not going to beat myself up though; I mean, I've lost 32 lbs and that is SOMETHING HUGE to be proud of. So, I'm not sure how realistic this first goal was but If I don't make it I WILL NOT BE DEPRESSED ABOUT IT. Positive energy is all I need to surround myself with right now.

looks like you have done a fantastic job. remember the goal is there for you to drive yourself toward. if it takes one week more or one week less is not as important as meeting the goal itself.

I'd say being only a few pounds away from that goal is almost like meeting the goal itself! I know that it's not the same number but to be SO close!! Imagine the alternative...and where you were when you set that goal! If you hadn't set the goal, you might not be anywhere close. Plus, if I read your journal right, you were hoping to lose 3.8lbs a week--that's hard to do! You did more than 2 a week though--that's AWESOME. Keep up the great work and get moving towards your next goal!
