December 6, 2017. Wt back up to 181 but I ate a lot yesterday, a huge gluten and mayo free hamburger for lunch and a plate of brown rice, pork gravy, pork loin, etc for super. Blood sugar was 140 although I took a whole glypizide last night. Today, however, I am on Kirkland Albacore (packed in water, of course) for breakfast and lunch. I will eat some veggies at lunch also. Time to get realistic. Just like the "garbage in, garbage out" reference to computer data, the fact is that what I eat affects both weight and blood sugar, and if I really want to get down to about 145, I will need to be realistic. Not recording what I am eating for dinner is always an example of the poor discipline that leads to quitting. Last meal of the day is crucial to well being just as much as breakfast is. Eating carbs stimulates appetite. The up and down of blood sugar that results is a big trigger to over-eating. Not eating carbs can suppress appetite somewhat, although at 11:15 I am definitely thinking of lunch.

Wow, blood sugar still 128 at noon, after having only 450 calories all day. I didn't think what I ate yesterday was that bad, but maybe it was. Gravy and rice are a powerful combination, unfortunately.
