I eat at Wendy's and other fast food places all the time. Due to my schedule, it's not really an option to do otherwise.
What I do is eat the few things they offer that fits with my diet.
Wendy's - grilled chicken sandwich and small chili is 550 calories.
McDonalds - grilled chicken and parfait - 500 calories.
Subway - many subs under 500 calories.
Taco Bell - fresco style burrito supreme and chicken soft taco - 500 calories.
Both Wendy's and McDonalds have salads, but I prefer the sandwiches. Point is, you can stay on a diet and avail yourself of fast food, but you have to be very selective.
Do I want to have a Wendy's triple cheeseburger? Yes. In the past, I've eaten two at one time. The real question is, would I rather be healthy in the long term or have the triple now. Delayed gratification is one of the keys to happiness.
I wish you all the best. It really is worth it to get and stay healthy. For you and those who care about you.
