I'm back, after five years away. I've gained back all the weight I lost five years ago, and then some. My health is starting to deteriorate, with daily heartburn and arthritis in my right knee, just beginning to develop. I wanted to lose weight to prevent these things from happening, but I didn't manage it. It's time to slow the decline. I have to if I'm going to live the life I want for the rest of my life.
I've chosen Weight Watchers this time because I've realized I really need the social support that a group can give. I have my first call with my coach tomorrow. I'm combining WW with FatSecret because I want the little weight tracker slider! Plus more social support, in a message board forum rather than a Facebook-like format like what the WW site has. When I lost a lot of weight before, it was with the help of a support group, so I'm trying that again.
