My body has been so achy lately. I wonder why? Makes it challenging to exercise because I hurt. Not muscle pain, just aching. Can't wait to feel better. :(

I'm sorry you're feeling bad. I know you are not doing Atkins, but you have changed your eating habits and have eliminated processed foods. So your body is "detoxing" from it all. Those of us on Atkins call it the Atkins Flu, but it really is not just for people on the Atkins diet. Any shift in eating will cause this. We have all been putting crud in our bodies and when we switch to the whole good foods, our bodies have to get rid of the other 'toxins' to make room for the good stuff. Some of it is also a build up of lactic acid... so water... A LOT of water is important.. just like you are doing. It will flush those toxins out. I'm achy too, extremely so. It's suppose to level out after a week or so. Just look it as a good thing and know you are getting rid of all that bad stuff as you fill your body w/all that good whole clean stuff. :) Hang in there. P.S. One thing that has been known to help balance it and provide some relief is broth. Even though we are doing better w/water & good foods, our electrolytes are out of balance as our body gets used to it. So broth and don't hold back on the sodium either is really good to combat some of the aches. And above all else, don't forget prayer. <3

Would I still be feeling the detox after over a month of eating better? I guess it's possible. My grandma says it could be the beginning of arthritis...it runs in our family, especially the women. She gave me some suggestions for supplements to see if it helps. :) Did NOT want to walk today but I did it anyway. Hurting bad. Sleep gives me relief, though, and that is happening soon!

I still have really bad detox days. I can tell the difference between that pain and the fibro pain. But you could be right as well. I don't like to hear that you are in pain. Sending up prayers for relief.
