I need some motivation. I'm not doing very good at this. And I have to keep starting Phase 1 over again, because of how poorly I am following the phase.

All the junk going around because of the Holidays is making it hard. Anyone else having the same problem?
119.0 lb Lost so far: 2.0 lb.    Still to go: 9.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

It is hard but you can do it! Everytime I see the donuts or candy go back I just say to myself "that will go straight to the thighs" lol...I bring snacks from home that I know I can eat, peanuts, hard boiled eggs, low fat cheese. I made little bags on Sunday for the week so I just grab and go. Everytime you have a craving for something bad reach for your snack, you'll be suprised how the craving goes away..so far it's been working for me day 3 and down 2lbs. YOU CAN DO IT!

(Raises hand) I am! I have been dreading this time of year since about September. Just keep thinking about the loss you WONT have if you eat it. That's what I do! Stay strong!

I have a Christmas part coming up, not this coming saturday but next and I have to make a pumpkin cheesecake! Everybody has been begging me to. I'd love to eat some but not only does it have sugar and white flour and loads of fat, but pumpkin is a high-starch, high glycemic food not recommeded for South Beach. I am already dreading it, but I will be keeping in mind that I do not want to have to confess to everyone that I messed up big, especially since I am team captain of bullytrouble's RIDE EM" competition starting this Sunday. I can't let myself and everyone else down for a measely dessert. It's not going to kill me not to have it. Besides, I will be sitting comfortably while everyone else is moaning and groaning about how they can't move because they ate so much!! I will find a more acceptable way to treat myself that day that will not undo all my hard work.

LOTUS, I made one for Thanksgiving and have the recipe, I'll get it now. It was very very yummy, even the non-dieters said it was good.

You are not alone... I am struggling just as well. It's hard to not feel discouraged. However, just remind yourself that if you weren't working on "control", think of how much you WOULD be eating! Just keep plodding forward and don't give up. Losing weight will be hard work and uncomfortable. But, you can do it!
