OK-- new month, new start, new dedication......Ive been down in the dumps and not motivated fr tooo looong . Time to change that around!!!!

Awesome! Longevity, Aging and Biomechanics are where my focus is. Being a 44 year old male with four small kids, I've realized without proper nutrition and a functionally sound body, I'm slowly going to wither away and miss out on all those little moments that are forthcoming. Stay motivated by "doing" not talking, and stay plugged in to this and other communities for encouragement. It makes a huge difference. Having said that, I've lost 60+ pounds over the last eleven months through proper calorie intake and light to moderate exercise, like walking and weight lifting. It doesn't come easy, but what in life worth having does? Cheers. -SE

I M A 59 YR OLD KIDS WITH LOTS OF GROWN CHILDREN AND SOME HURRICANE-LIKE GRANDCHILDREN...I TRY AND TRY BUT ITS SO HARD...I FALL OFF ALOT...I STALL EVEN MORE AND THAT TAKES THE WIND OUT OF MY SAILS...HARD DECISIONS WITH LITTLE RESULTS....EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING...BUT SLOWLY BUT SURELY I THINK I AM CHANGING MY EATING AND EXERCISE HABITS....I HATE IT CUZ I LOVE FOOD...MY FAMILY CELEBRATES WITH FOOD...WE MOURN WITH FOOD...AND THATS NOT EVEN TALKING ABOUT OUR DRINK....NOT EVEN SURE WHY I AM DOING THIS ...I HATE IT...BU I KEEP GOING...IF I HAD SMALL KIDS AT HOME I COULD NEEVER DO THIS ..THEY TOTALLY MADE ME OLD AND DROVE ME INSANE...I JUST KEEP GOING.

Thank you ALL of the very kinds words of encouragement. Community is DEFIANTLY a good think, I need to make this my #1 priority!!! I have 3 children and a 101 yrs young grandmother-- those are my WHY!!! I want to make healthy lifestyle for myself, so I can give them the BEST me I can be. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN SOOO MUCH

It sounds like you have pulled yourself up. If you can stay motivated for 3 days you will probably be feeling better and that helps with the dedication.
