Didn't run last night. I'm just no good when I mess up my schedule. I didn't realize what a creature of habit I am. I need to be more adaptable - and quicker to do it.

Going running today at about 3:30. Had meeting ALL DAY - even during my lunch time. Ate at my desk listening to others drone on during a remote meeting...yuck I hate those. And of course, the one time a question was being asked of me, I was doing something else and had to pretend that the phone cut out during the question. "Can you repeat that?" OOPS!

I'm having a little anxiety about running today. I'm planning on running outside, which I've only done one other time. I'm also going to be running around my work campus, which feels a little weird. I guess I'd be embarrassed if I saw anyone I work with? I don't know. Maybe because I'm such a newb at running, I think I'm doing it wrong. Like people are saying, "She runs like a girl." :-) I think that's why I didn't get in my run yesterday either because I'm trying to transition from the treadmill to outside and it's a little scary. But I've got to get on it because I'm running my first 5K next month!!! I really wish I had someone to run with.

On the plus side of things, I joined an over 40 women's soccer team that plays on Tuesdays. I'll be playing soccer twice a week and adding that to my exercising. I'm very excited about it. Now that I'm doing hot yoga in the mornings, my evenings have opened up for doing more fun stuff. Also, I've stayed within my calories every day this week thus far!!! Woo-hoo! I'm co-tracking my food on weight watchers also. Kind of a pain tracking in both spots, but it helps me to see the points/calories working together.

I hear you-I still get nervous running outside, it feels so awkward! Good luck on your first 5K-I ran my first in December 2010 and now I am hooked! I try to do one every 6 weeks and I can tell you it will make you feel sooo good to cross that finish line! :-D

I thought I was the only one! I always think the other runners are evaluating my lack of running skills. How ridiculous is that ! LOL But seriously, running outside is more difficult...and feels great. I've been taking my girls (on their scooter) while I run. They have fun and can keep up. Sometimes it's me keeping up with them :)
