Morning all. Snowed last night, turned to rain and is still raining. It is making a real MESS!!! Hope all are well and safe.

WOE/WOL is going well although I didn't get in all my veggies yesterday.:( Today is another day and I will be working harder to do so. This is what happens when you eat and then enter the foods. Usually, I come up short somewhere.lol

With the rain, not sure how much we will be working with the horses today. That's ok, my poor, OLD body needs a break.lol

HUGS to all and have a wonderful day.:):)

ADDITION: Well I just entered my lunch veggies and it put me over on my carbs. I guess it will be ok as it is on my veggies. Supper will probably be pure protien.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. Did she maybe have trouble calving? That's so hard and I know how you are feeling. That's a hard one to deal with. If you find out what the cause was, please let me know. Could it have been wolves or coyotes? I know around this area they are all over and very nasty. Usually they will prey on the young though. Art's brother lost a full grown pregnant heifer last year. That was a first which mean they are getting more brassy. Nasty things. I hope your day improves big sis and I'm so sorry.:(:( HUGS for you.

Take advantage of mother nature and give yourself that much deserved brake. Your body is going to thank you for it. Enjoy your weekend my friend.

Thanks Keli. I do need it, that's for sure. Not sure about my left arm. I hope I didn't tear the rotator cuff again. It feels like I might have, but I refuse to have another surgery to fix it. After I had the first one fixed, it was still very painful, so I won't do it again. Didn't seem to make it any beter. Oh well, those are the dangers you have to deal with working with animals.lol Want to pass some of those pain killers my way?lol Have a wonderful day my friend and stay safe. :)HUGS:)

Laurie, she couldn't get back up..and so she suffocated..broke my heart and she was with calf..she was my favorite Skunk Cow..I showed you all her baby Fabio last year.....Oh well if you farm you are going to lose a few in the process...our co-farmer has lost 15 feeder calves this month alone to a virus..and they can't find out which kind it is so they can treat them... he had one calf that was eating this morning and then by lunch time it was dead...bad stuff going around..Hope they can find out soon..:O(

OH NO, not skunk. That is so sad. I'm so sorry. That is horrible about the virus. I sure hope they can figure it out. That is a lot of losses in a month. WOW

I could never be a farmer with animals....I'd be in tears all the time. Don't chance working with your animals in the midst of the rain and mud, Laurie. Not worth being laid up. Hope the sun breaks through soon.
