Sugar... my arch-nemesis

Just had an image of gummy worms pop into my head, and I cannot stop thinking about them. I'm trying to cut out/down my sugar, today is day 4. I seriously would punch someone and take their candy right now. The BANE of my existence is sugar. It is in everything, and all around me.

I have weighed portions of snacks like nuts and pop corn... but I want the sweet bliss of a Snickers or Kitkat bar. Ugh... anyone who thinks that sugar addiction isn't a real thing... you are wrong.

I guess I'll go drink 8oz water and scrounge in my desk for a throat lozenge.

Good luck with it. I break every time and then it's not pretty. I try not to keep sugary things in the house. I used to do a square of the dark chocolate but last binge I ate the whole bar so no more of them. I'm eating a half banana and 1/2c of strawberries w a protien powder that says sugar free but never know... So far so good. Good luck. And yes we all know sugar is worse than herion.

LOL. That was funny. (: I feel the same way. I just want some chocolatey goodness. Just keep it out of the house, and DON'T BUY IT! Actually, I usually run and get a tablespoon of almond butter with some sprinkled cinnamon. That usually satisfies.

Good Luck! Chocolate is still and will always be with you, it's just so darn good! I have the same problem, I found dark chocolate does not make me crave more sugar so I keep dove dark promises in the drawer for when I really need it. They are 40 calories each, so I can have 2 with a cup of coffee after dinner for desert. The trick for me is to not have it every night, just a couple of times during the week. I try to keep fresh fruit in the house for when I want something sweet. Keep at it you'll find what works for you.
