Hypopressive, what it is and what it does.... HP = hypopressive
I sifted through a google search to find some links that would be useful to get a handle on HP and possibly allow a person to start doing a few basic moves without finding a trainer, etc.
Here are few links below that really give you a quick overview of what the exercises can do, why they are effective and how to start doing them...lots more online stuff...
Very short "salesy" overview:

Good job Steven :-) I am a "student" and Steve and his Pilate queens were my "teachers". I've been doing HP ever since he suggested them and I have to tell everyone that they really do work and my posture has improved. They work you just have to do them. I try for 20 mins a day. Thanks again Steven and the
Queens. I hope it's ok I post this as a reference. When I was searching hypopressive (I watched many along with the above links from original post) and found this one kind of opened my eyes a little bit more. It's is Low Pressure Fitness USA and the YouTube title is IMG 2404. Have fun!

My wife (fit, no weight issues) used to teach Stott Pilates and TRX at a local studio and it was her and her friend the owner (super fit, very, very knowledgable) who taught me a few basic HP exercises after they had themselves experimented with these over the last year and a half with great results for themselves and clients. My wife, who still does Pilates at least three times a week, saw better definition in her abs and a positive change in her waist profile without any change in her body fat%.

These two "ganged" up on me one day and got me to try this HP stuff without me really knowing what I was getting into...before this I'd do cross crunches for abs. To make a long story short, in less than a month I saw marked improvement, in two months much better ab definition and lower & side core stability than I've had since my twenties. Also, crunches were something I'd do as part of a workout session, while some of the HP exercises I do every day...sitting at my desk, driving a car, standing up, in bed, etc...almost anywhere. Keeps things toned and solid!!

Finally, I've not done another crunch since last fall...poorer results and hard on my back, especially since I'm recovering from my lower back disk rupture on Feb 14, 2016.

Wow! Thanks so much Steve! I can do these, I already do kegel type exercises because with a detached rectum I am in danger of pelvic floor atrophy, I wonder why none of my medical practitioners never mentioned HP before.....I knew nothing about them, of course now that I live out in the sticks there is no way I will ever find a trainer, nearest gym is 40 miles away, but now that I have a place to start, I CAN figure it out, I can see from my own attempts so far that it is going to take some practice. This is exactly what I was looking for!!! Thanks SO much! You guys ROCK!!!!

Frankie and Debra...if you guys have any questions please feel free to PM me or post them on the journal...my wife's friend is a level 2 HP trainer (as well as many other designations) and would most likely have an answer or know how to get it.
