Halo Top Ok people. If you haven't tried this ice cream yet (and it's calories/macros fit within your eating plan), I highly highly recommend it. Per PINT, it has 240 calories (for most flavors), 24 g protein, 8 g fat, and 56 g carbs (36 net carbs). If you go to their website (halotop.com) there's a link to search if any stores near you carry it. If they don't (as mine didn't), you can print out a sheet to take to your local grocer/health food store and bug them repeatedly until they stock it (like I did). It tastes great with no funky flavor/aftertaste, but is a bit more firm than regular ice cream, more like a sherbet. I always keep a pint in my freezer for when the overwhelming urge for something sweet strikes. Or... you know.. for when I'm too lazy to cook and eat it for breakfast or dinner.

Lemon cake! It's my favorite

True about the calories for a pint, but the nutrition label lists a serving at 1/2 cup and the carbs at 14 for that 1/2 cup. So it's 56 carbs for a pint, or because of the fiber, 44 carbs for a pint.

No, it's 36 net carbs for a pint - my error.

The best breakfast! Although my coworkers look at me funny.

No, no. The best breakfast is cold meat lovers pizza with a can of coke classic. That was my standby anyway. Not sure how I ever got to 240 pounds. *eye roll*

I checked the website ... my nearest stockist is over 2.5k miles away. I'm so pleased for you all in the US you have this. And so pleased I don't generally have a sweet tooth. Enjoy, everyone!

You're in my will. Seriously! I decided since I was at Whole Foods and they had both Halo and Artic Zero to do a comparison tasting. I got the Chocolate and the Lemon Cake Halo and the maple vanilla Arctic Zero. Arctic Zero is acceptible. If you want something sweet...and a LOT of it, it's OK. Halo is Chocolate ice cream. Pure and simple. I dug in when it was still frozen hard and could still kinda taste the whey but it wasn't off-putting. Once it softened, it wasn't heavy like a lot of high calorie ice creams but it was creamy and not icy. I've only tried the Chocolate. I decided to save the Lemon cake until spouse got home so we could share. He rolled in this afternoon ;-)

Sorry for the small novella here - the Whole Foods is about 20 minutes from my house. When I got home, the Halo was softened but not melty. The Arctic Zero was still as hard as a rock. The only thing Arctic has going for it over Halo is that it's more accessible in my area.
