Well, I’m back after 2 weeks. Crazy things have been happening. Here’s the short version:

I went to dermatologist to have moles checked. 2 moles were removed and the doctor said I needed to have some small warts on my fingers treated so they wouldn’t spread. He wanted to treat them with a chemical because he didn’t want to cause me any more pain. Two days later the treated fingers were severely infected. Saw the doctor every day for the next 3 days. Then when things didn’t improve I was sent to the hand surgeon who said I needed to have surgery right away. Following the surgery I have had several days of therapy and have finally been released to work with limited use of my right hand.

Also, during this time, my daughter totaled her car. Luckily she was fine. But she needed a car to drive. I guess the timing was right since I wouldn’t be using mine for a few weeks. My husband decided it would be a good idea to let her continue to drive my car and get me a new one. Today was the first day I’ve gotten to drive it:)

During this time I didn’t log my food or even really care what I was putting in my mouth. But I did weigh myself a few times. Initially I lost 3 lbs (have no idea how that happened) but as of this morning have gained it all back. Next week when I can start exercising again I’m going to join the gym near my house.

I am so ready to get things back to normal!

Kim, I'm sorry I missed this yesterday. I was wondering what you've been up to lately. I'm so sorry to hear about your hand and your daughter's car. I assume she was not seriously hurt as she is driving your car. That is one bright spot! What a terrible thing to happen to your hand! Do you know why it became so infected? Thank heaven the hand surgeon was able to take care of it! Infection in the hands is a very serious deal - I don't have to tell you that. I wish you a speedy and complete recovery with no further complications. Take care of yourself Kim! I smile every time I see your bio pic. Your beautiful face glows with health and optimism! Love, hugs, and prayers, sweet friend! P.S. Enjoy your new car!
